Anybody made a homemade shampoo using only natural ingredients?
Using soapwort or another natural foaming agent that is not based on sodium lauryl sulphate or other harsh unnatural chemicals. Just curious to know what you have used for the ‘soap’ part of the shampoo.

Castile soap. You can buy it in the bottle and dilute it 1 tbsp to 16 oz water and it lathers good. Find it at any health food store. It’s a liquid and has been around since 1800′s. You can use it on everything it’s so gentle. I’ve used it and it contains no synthetics at all.
Or goat milk soap bar www.dandesoap.com. She also carries a castor oil shampoo bar.
Everything you buy these days has that mess in it. Also, you can take soap scrapes, place two pieces or one motel sample soap, into a 16 oz jar or bowl. fill with water. It will gel overnight, stir and it’s ready to use. Plus you are recycling your left over soap. I’ve used all three and my hair is down to my waist.

How do I make a homemade Shampoo and conditiner?
I dont like how many Shampoo’s containg laureth sulfate and chemicals like this are very dryng for hair because is a soapy chemical that they also added it to laudry detergent and dish washing soap. So I wan to make an all natural healthy shampoo and conditioner with our preservatives.

1 handful fresh or dried chamomile flowers
1 1/4 cups boiling water
3 tablespoons pure soap flakes
1 tablespoon glycerin
5 drops yellow food coloring
You will need 2 heatproof bowls, a sieve, a wooden spoon, and a clean 14oz bottle with tight fitted cover.
1) place the flowers in a bowl and add the boiling water. Let stand for 15 minutes, then strain into the other bowl.
2)Clean the 1st bowl. Combine the soap flakes and hot infusion in it. Let stand until the soap softens- a few minutes. Beat in glycerin and food coloring until well blended.
3) pour the mixture into the bottle. keep in a cool dark place.
