Why do glycerin soaps make my skin feel rubbery?
I have recently switched to using all-natural glycerin-based soap when I shower. The soap seems to be doing a good job of leaving me clean and relatively odor-free. However, after rinsing with water my skin always feels rubbery. This does not happen with non-glycerin soaps.
Are there any chemists out there who can explain how and why glycerin has this effect?

In response the the answer posted below: Are you implying that what I describe as a rubbery feeling to my skin is the same as a greasy feeling and is caused by the fatty nature of the glycerin?
glycerin is fat….and fat is greasy….and all natural means there are no additives to take that rubbery feeling away…you are better in the long run….
