Cinnamon Oil in soap making..how safe??
Please, serious answers.
I want to know from someone who really has knowledge in handmade soap making ~how safe is it to use cinnamon oil (cassia) in glycerin soap making? I know that it can irritate sensative skin and it should be used with care. How much do you think is safe to use when making a 4 ounce glycerin soap bar? Serious answers only please. Thanks.
It has been almost 30 years but I remember that it was only a few drops. There was a way to buffer it as well but I don’t remember what that was. You can experiment and try just five or six drops and see how that works for you. If it is not too irritating and the scent is not strong enough you can increase the number of drops. Remember that cinnamon is quite strong so I wouldn’t go beyond ten drops for such a small bar.
Wintergreen (Methyl salicilate) is another strong scent that can irritate but has a pleasant and desirable smell.

Using Tea Tree Oil in Soap Making?
Please i am looking for serious answers to my question…
I hope someone with experience in handmade soap making…glycerin to be exact…can tell me if they have used tea tree oil when making their soaps.
How much oil do you recommend to use per ounce?
Is it an expensive oil? Do you know where i can get a soap base that already has tea tree oil in it?
