Luxurious formula starts with a large portion of olive oil. Treasured for centuries, nourishing and mild Greek olive oil is the finest oil used in soap making. We add coconut oil and castor oil for their lathering and cleansing
properties, for their skin conditioning and therapeutic qualities.

This Greek olive oil soap is very mild, long-lasting and can be used full strength on any skin type to help retain moisture and elasticity. It is no surprise that olive oil soap soothes and nourishes the skin because it takes advantage of the natural moisturising properties of olive oil. Back in the days before soap was invented, it is said that when the ancient Egyptians wanted to clean themselves, they spread olive oil on their skin. The olive oil stuck to the dirt, and could then be scraped away. Olive oil has been used in soap making for thousands of years.

Handmade Soap Care: To help your handmade soap last as long as possible, keep in a well-drained soap dish and allow to dry between uses. If left standing in water or in a direct stream of the water, the lifespan of the bar will be shortened. Keep unused soaps wrapped until ready to use, and store them in a cool, dry place.

If borax is used during the saponification of olive oil, does any borax remain?

If borax is used during the saponification of organic olive oil to lower the ph, does any borax remain? I know that borax shouldn’t be used on the skin of infants, and I want to use a pure soap. Does using borax change the olive oil from being organic. Thanks in advance for answering.

Does using borax change the olive oil from being organic ?
Depends on your definition of organic. Borax is in itself a natural product, like plaster. And Olive oil is usually heavily processed. But it is after wards not more ore less organic than before.

Im not sure if Borax remains in the oil, but as an educated guess: yes it does.
I would say it dissolves to its compounds Sodium ions (that’s everywhere anyways) and Borate.
But i doubt that companies would take the extra effort to remove that, since it is not really considered toxic in the given amounts.
